Rockin' at the Knox
Location
Join us for Buffalo's biggest celebration of art and music.
This year, an eclectic lineup headed by Rufus Wainwright and The National, who will be joined by Atlas Sound and Martha Wainwright, will perform on Friday, June 18. Rockin’ at the Knox is the Albright-Knox Art Gallery’s outdoor fundraising celebration and one of the city’s most anticipated events.
Siblings Rufus and Martha Wainwright are the children of folk singers Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle. Rufus has carved out his own singular sound in the worlds of rock, opera, theatre, dance, and film. Martha creates her own music with a compelling voice.
The National’s much-anticipated new album High Violet will be released worldwide on May 11. The High Violet album cover features a sculpture, The Binding Force, by artist Mark Fox, whose work the Gallery recently acquired for its Permanent Collection.
