Neglia Ballet - Baba Yaga

This year Neglia Ballet Artists will produce four world-class performances, two with the Buffalo Phiharmonic Orchestra, presenting for the first time a full season of performances. The 2010-2011 season will include four productions, starting with Baba Yaga, the beloved Russian folktale and halloween family treat on October 15 and 16 at The Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall on the Buffalo State College Campus.
The Nutcracker returns on November 27 and 28 at Shea's Performing Arts Center with live music by the Buffalo Phiharmonic Orchestra. Romeo and Juliet will be performed on March 11 at Shea's, also with the BPO and on May 14 Neglia will present a mixed repertoire program at Rockwell Hall.
On October 16, 2010 at 7:00 pm in Buffalo State College’s Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall, Neglia Ballet's interpretation of Baba Yaga, the Russian folk tale returns to the stage in this wonderfully spooky piece. Perfect for the Halloween season, it is a feast for the eyes, ears and imagination with enchanting sets, enthralling music and virtuoso dancing combined in a show you’ll be talking about for years.
Bring the kids dressed up in costume and join us for a Halloween pre-show at 6:00 p.m. Kids costume contest, donuts and cider, ad reading fo the Baba Yaga fairytale. This pre-show event is free.
