Mosaic Annual Juried Show and Silent Auction

Mosaic Annual Juried Show and Silent Auction

Thursday, October 21, 2010 ~ 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM ~ Asbury Hall, Buffalo, New York

Mosaic is a silent and live auction featuring a stunning variety of works by Western New York artists. Including a delectable array of hors d'oeuvres and wine selections, Mosaic supports the Family Justice Center's mission of providing free, one-stop services to victims of domestic violence.

The Family Justice Center of Erie County (FJC) invites artists to participate in an exhibition and auction for the benefit of the FJC. The auction will be held on October 21, 2010, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, at the FJC’s annual Mosaic event. Proceeds from the auction will be split 50-50 between the artist and the FJC.

Family Justice Center's Mission
The FJC provides free, one-stop, wrap-around services to victims of domestic violence and their children. It eliminates barriers to service and justice; improves family safety through personal empowerment; and increases offender accountability. The mission is accomplished through the collaboration of 12 on-site and more than 20 off-site partners, including law enforcement, prosecutors, civil legal assistance, victim advocacy and safety planning, counselors, shelter professionals, interfaith chaplains, translation services, forensic medical professionals, and assessment services for children who have witnessed domestic violence.
Goals of Mosaic
    •    Raise awareness about domestic violence in the community.
    •    Raise funds and friends for the FJC.
    •    Focus attention on WNY art community and its generosity.
    •    Create a mutually beneficial partnership between the FJC and community artists.
