The Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society exhibition "Fact, Fiction & Spectacle: The Trial of Red Jacket" is a multifaceted, interactive analysis and explanation of a colossal painting in the museum’s collection painted by John Mix Stanley in the 1868.

 "Fact, Fiction & Spectacle: The Trial of Red Jacket" a far-reaching exhibit based on the History Museum’s monumental painting by John Mix Stanley, “The Trial of Red Jacket.”

Reenactors representing British, American and Native combatants recreate life on the Revolutionary frontier at Old Fort Niagara. Battle demonstrations, living history camps, uniform and weapons programs, hands-on activities for families. Special activities from 10 am to 4 pm.

Old Fort Niagara's largest event of the year recreates the excitng days of the 1759 Siege during the French and Indian War.

Roycroft Summer Festival has a new home for 2010. Breaking with a 35-year old tradition, this year the RALA artisans will be setting up in front of the Arts and Crafts–inspired Parkdale School, owing to construction on the Roycroft Campus.

The Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site preserves the Ansley Wilcox House in Buffalo, New York, where Theodore Roosevelt became the 26th President of the United States on September 14, 1901.

This special exhibition room at the Central Library is the home of Twain's original handwritten manuscript, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

Twain was an active member of the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library's predecessor, the Young Men's Association and honored the Library with the manuscript of what is viewed by many as the greatest American novel. In 1885, Twain donated the second half of Huckleberry Finn, believing the first half had been lost by a printer.

This Buffalo waterfront museum of military history features the Destroyer USS The Sullivans, guided missile cruiser USS Little Rock, submarine USS Croaker, tanks, airplanes, and more in the largest inland park of its kind in the nation. All branches of the Armed Forces are honored in the park's museum and numerous exhibits.

Standing on a bluff above Lake Ontario not far from Niagara Falls, Old Fort Niagara has dominated the entrance to the Niagara River since 1726. The colorful history of the site began even earlier, and continues to the present day.

The fort played an important role in the struggles of France, Great Britain, and the United States to control the Great Lakes region of North America, and also helped shape the destinies of the Iroquois (Six Nations) peoples and the nation of Canada.
