The Rapids Theatre is pleased to announce the date of our First Annual "Christmas at The Rapids" concert on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 6pm. We are honored to have the fabulous John Stevens and Melissa Kate performing live with The 18 piece George Scott Band! A portion of the ticket sales will go directly to Carolyn's House!

Aspirations and Inspirations: Imagining the Buffalo Waterfront featuring nationally reknowned urbanists Fred Kent, founder and director of Project for Public Spaces, and Tony Goldman, known everywhere for his work in SoHo, Miami Beach, Philadelphia, and Boston, will be held on Saturday, November 6th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the newly opened City Honors School auditorium. 

The County Executive's proposed budget that would slash funding to dozens of local art institutions and the public libraries. Supporters of the Buffalo arts community is naturally riled up about next year's proposed county budget, which would make deep cuts to cultural programs.

One positive action you can take is to attend Public Budget Hearing being held by the Erie County Legislature in their Chambers at Old County Hall on Franklin Street
